Go behind the scenes at our Derry facility in New Hampshire, where our TPU scientists are developing next-generation molecules and rigorously testing the optical and physical properties of new products. This is where innovation meets precision.
Here, we also evaluate the performance of glazing constructions and provide tailored recommendations to meet the specific needs of our customers. Glass companies, laminators, and solution providers are welcome to visit us and explore how we can support their goals.
Take a behind-the-scenes look at our Ringwood facility in Illinois — where we manufacture KRYSTALFLEX® TPU films.
This facility operates under the most stringent quality standards to ensure consistency, performance, and reliability in every product we deliver. We welcome industry partners to learn more about our advanced manufacturing capabilities and commitment to excellence.
The ability of an optical interlayer to bond to a substrate can be influenced by factors such as glass type (e.g., chemically strengthened, tempered, or float) and the use of additives or coatings. Similarly, engineered plastics such as polycarbonate, with coatings including UV absorbers, can affect film performance.
Our team routinely guides customers through the interlayer selection process – offering insights and guidance on performance properties including:
· Haze
· UV resistance
· Tensile strength
· Operating temperature range
· Peel adhesion
· Impact resistance
· Coefficient of thermal expansion
· Light transmission
Recommendations are made depending on the type of glass lamination project in question. Armed with application information, we can help customers make the best material choices.

Symmetrical laminations of glass to glass reduces the potential for uneven stress concentrations.
Thinner interlayers can be used.

PC has a different coefficient of thermal expansion compared to glass, leading to internal stresses that can cause warping or even delamination over time, therefore a stronger bond is required.
If construction is symmetrical, thinner interlayers can still be used.

Thicker interlayers are recommended (75 mils) in asymmetrical constructions to ensure balanced stress distribution.

Curvature will induce more bending stress at certain points of the laminate, especially near the edges.
Thicker and low modulus interlayers are recommended (75 mils)
Your success is our process. With KRYSTALFLEX® TPU, every stage is designed to deliver safety, performance, and confidence.

Customers reach out to our safety glazing experts to request information about KRYSTALFLEX® TPU.
We work to understand the customer’s specific requirements (e.g., defense, security, architectural), performance standards, and project timelines.

Tailored recommendations are provided, with samples, datasheets, and pricing proposals to ensure the customer can evaluate fit and value.
The customer confirms their purchase; the order is processed, production slots are scheduled, and delivery timelines are agreed.

Customers can refer to supporting technical datasheets and, if needed, on-site or remote technical assistance can be discussed.
Post-delivery, the KRYSTALFLEX® TPU team remains available for troubleshooting, optimization of lamination processes, and advising on new applications to strengthen long-term collaboration.
